March 2024 “Month of the Life”

“Don’t be afraid to start over. This time, you’re not starting from scratch, you’re starting from experience.” -Unknown

Alt text: Wall sign in a hotel lobby that says “welcome to the mother of states", and then the shape of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
We arrived just in time for the peak bloom of the cherry blossoms. Separately, if I could apply textual edits to this aesthetic sign, I would remove “mother” and replace it with “parent” to make it more inclusive of people with different life experiences and gender expressions so people feel seen and validated.

Alt text: A shelf with packaged food such as mini Velveeta and Campbell’s Soup bowls with a “VA: in wooden blocks in the background, almost like it’s mounted on the wall.
I like the photo composition here, and with “VA” hiding behind the shelf of snacks.
Alt text: A distressed-style tee shirt with “Kirby” in bubbly colorful letters and the top part of Nintendo Kirby’s image.
Love how Kirby is being (re)discovered by Gem Z.
Alt text: Two Yorkshire Terriers on a seafoam blue sofa in the middle of the kitchen.
Sofa in the kitchen?
Alt text: A picture of a door with “2622” cardinal metal numbers attached to the door.
My old stomping grounds.
Alt text: Two near-peak-bloom cherry blossom trees of different shades of pink.
Beautiful Cherry Blossoms.
Alt text: A view of the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial through “the view” of two blooming cherry blossom trees.
